(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a break, enter and theft that took place at an abandoned farmhouse located on Rodgerville Road. Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on October 24 and 11:00 a.m. on October 25, 2014 those responsible forced entry into the property through a back porch window. Once inside the residence the thieves ransacked the property and attempted to steal copper piping from the building. The copper piping was left behind however a blue sandblasting cabinet and a black storage container with wheels was stolen.
The value of the stolen property is estimated at $250 and the damage to the building is estimated at $1,000.
