(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 27, 2014, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the Walmart store in Fergus for a Fraud complaint. A loss prevention officer investigated a woman that brought an item to the customer service returns desk that was not purchased. She received a gift card for the value of the item and left the scene.
Irena LINKA age 57 from Fergus has been charged with Fraud Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 29, 2014 to answer to the charge.
