Jessica ELLIOTT – 134 in an 80, Vehicle Impounded

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A novice driver from Huron East is facing a one week driver’s licence suspension and a vehicle impoundment for a week following a traffic stop yesterday. Just after 10:30 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling eastbound on Huron Road near Holmesville when he encountered a speeding westbound Pontiac Grand-Am. The officer confirmed his observations with a RADAR device and measured the speed of the vehicle at a speed of 134 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was completed and the driver was charged. Jessica ELLIOTT, 18, from Huron East has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. Her driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and her vehicle has been impounded for seven days. She has a court appearance scheduled for November 18, 2014 at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich.
