(LAKESHORE ON) – County Road 42 between County Road 31 and County Road 35 is now open after it was closed for several hours following a single vehicle motor vehicle collision that claimed the life the lone female occupant.
At approximately 3:48 am this date, a passing motorist discovered the vehicle in the south side ditch of County Rd 42 east of St. Joachim. Police, fire and ambulance were dispatched and the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time it is not known which direction the vehicle was travelling or any contributing factors.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit are continuing their investigation.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
