(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – A member of the public is credited with assisting in taking an impaired driver off the road.
At approximately 8:14 pm on Wednesday night, October 29th, 2014, a Huntsville woman was driving north on Highway 11 in the Gravenhurst area when she became concerned about the driving behaviour of another motorist also travelling north. The woman called police to report her concerns and provided the necessary information to assist officers in locating the vehicle in question.
The vehicle was stopped by members of the Bracebridge detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police on Taylor road in Bracebridge and 59 year old Linda Forth of Barrie was arrested and charged with:
CC 253(1)(a) Driving While Ability Impaired- motor vehicle (Alcohol)
CC 253(1)(b) Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood
She will appear in Bracebridge Court on November 18th, 2014 to answer to her charges.
