Shawn Michael DAWE – Drive While Suspended, Trafficking, etc

(CALEDON, ON) – On October 16th, 2014 officers from the Street Crime Unit of the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop in the Village of Bolton. Upon speaking with the male driver, the officers detected an odour of marihuana emanating from the driver and from inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested and a search uncovered drug paraphernalia and a quantity of drugs, believed to be cocaine.

As a result, Shawn Michael DAWE, 24, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance, Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He is further charged with Driving while Under Suspension.

The accused was held in custody and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville the following day.
