On Sunday November 2nd, 2014 at approximately 1:06am police responded to single motor vehicle rollover collision on the west bound lanes of Highway 401 in the area of Union Road, Southwold Township.
At the time of the collision the 2014 Ram pick-up truck was west bound on highway 401 and had just pulled over to the shoulder of the road. The vehicle then travelled at a slow speed into the north ditch rolling onto its side.
As a result of the police investigation the driver of the vehicle, Samantha ROBERTS, age 26 of Chatham, ON has been charged with;
Impaired Driving under the Criminal Code.
Operating a Motor Vehicle Over the Legal Limit contrary to the Criminal Code.
ROBERTS was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in St.Thomas Criminal Court on December 9th, 2014.
A 31 year old male passenger, also from Chatham, ON suffered minor injuries in the collision.
