(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON) – At approximately 3:15 pm on November 8, 2014 officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to two separate traffic complaints involving the same vehicle headed southbound on Highway 17 north near the Mile Hill area.
The vehicle was located and stopped by police.
As a result of further police investigation, 52 year old Dwayne HNATOW of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following: one count of Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and one Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada; one count of Driving while under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario; and one count of Driving a Motor Vehicle with Liquor readily available contrary to the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on December 3, 2014.
