Highway 12 was fully open by 11:00am 10 November 2014 to traffic flow and an investigator from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall will be attending later today to assist scene investigators into the cause of this overnight fire.

HOUSE FIRE ON HIGHWAY 12 SLOWS TRAFFIC IN TAY TOWNSHIP
(TAY TOWNSHIP,On)- Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have joined Tay Township Fire Service and Simcoe County Paramedics at the scene of an early morning structure fire on Highway 12 in Tay Township.
Emergency services were contacted at 3:26am 10 November 2014 after receiving a report of a vacant single family home was on fire.
Fire crews will likely remain at scene causing east bound traffic east of Rosemount Road to be diverted onto Beckett Side Road until 7:30am 10 November 2014.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall has been contacted.
