Two collisions investigated at same location

On November 11, 2014 at 6:00 p.m., the Guelph Police went to two collisions at Victoria Road and College Avenue. The first collision involved a Ford F150 pickup truck that came to stop and was struck from behind by a Saturn wagon. The 50-year-old Guelph man in the Ford received minor injuries. The 26-year-old female driver of the Saturn has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

The second collision occurred minutes after. A Hyundia and a Nissan came to a stop due to the congestion caused by the first collision. A Buick failed to stop, striking the rear of the Nissan who in turn struck the rear of the Hyundia. There were no injuries reported. The 29-year-old Guelph male driver of the Buick has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
