(Elgin County, ON) On the 9th of July, 2012, at approximately 8:47 p.m. the Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the Lyons Trailer Park on Imperial Road, for a report of an alleged attempted abduction of an 8 year old boy.
Police investigation has determined that a man in his late fifties to early sixties approached a boy that was walking, between 7:45 p.m and 8:15 p.m. He asked the boy for assistance in locating his dog. The suspect grabbed the boy by the shirt and his quick thinking grandmother intervened, telling him that he can look for his own dog.
It is believed the man fled the scene in what is described as a yellow car. The suspect is a white male, late fifties to early sixties, wearing a green collared short sleeve shirt with three buttons at the top, khaki shorts and a brush cut with a flat top.
