Jason Aaron Greenwood Wanted By Police – Picture Released – Attempt Murder – Presumed Armed And Dangerous

(LONDON, ON) – In the early morning hours of
January 11, 2012 a shooting occurred on Grey Street in the City of
London which left two individuals wounded.  Four individuals
were subsequently arrested and charged in relation to the
shooting.  Those charges remain before the courts.  The
investigation continued and a joint task force was formed
involving members of the London Police Service, Ontario Provincial
Police, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The task force, under the direction of Detective Inspector Greg
Walton, Criminal Investigation Branch of the OPP, also probed an
attempted robbery that occurred on September 27, 2012 on Highway
401 in Essex County.  During that incident a vehicle was shot
at.

As a result of the investigation police have issued an arrest
warrant for Jason Aaron Greenwood, 34 yrs, of Valente Court in
Tecumseh, Ontario for the following offences:

  • Attempt Murder 239 CC
  • Conspiracy to Commit Robbery 465(1)(c) CC
  • Attempt Robbery/Firearm 343 CC
  • Possession of Loaded Prohibited/Restricted Firearm 95(1) CC
  • Possession of Firearm Without Being Holder of a Licence 91(1)
    CC
  • Trafficking Schedule III 5(1) CDSA x 4
  • Trafficking in a Schedule I 51(1) CDSA x 1
  • Possession of Property Knowing it was Obtained by the
    Commission of an Offence 355(1) CC x 2

  It is believed that Greenwood has access to firearms,
including automatic handguns.  He has criminal associates
throughout Southern Ontario, specifically in the cities of Windsor
and London and in the Greater Toronto Area.
