Third Entry For Brock Raynard – Added To Hall Of Shame – Tried To Take Officer’s Gun

(RIPLEY, ON) – On December 5, 2012 at 7:56 am, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Queen Street in Ripley stopped a Green Dodge Dakota. The male driver was confrontational and refused to answer any of the officer’s questions. Once out of the truck, he started fighting and tried to take the officer’s gun during the struggle. 37 year old Brock RAYNARD of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township has been charged with Drive disqualified, 2 counts of Drive while suspended, Possess a controlled substance, Drive with open container of liquor, Fail to identify, Assault peace officer, Operate unsafe vehicle, Fail to signal turn and Breach of probation. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for December 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The officer and the accused were both treated for minor injuries.
