(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Monday morning March 04, 2013, Perth County OPP officers were called to the Stratford Home Hardware store exterior compound where a theft of materials was discovered.
Investigation indicated that sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., on Monday March 04, 2013 an unknown person entered the compound by cutting a hole on the west side of the security fence. Inside the compound toilets, windows and fiberglass insulation bundles were removed from storage trailers. The stolen items were loaded into a Home Hardware panel van which had been parked on the property. The panel van was driven south of Stratford where the stolen contents were transferred to another vehicle and the van was left behind.
