Church and Baseball Field Damaged Overnight

(TEESWATER, ON) On April 13, 2013 at 9:06 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of overnight damage to the Sacred Heart church in Teeswater. Sometime during the late evening of April, 12, 2013 or the early morning hours of April 13, 2013, a stained glass window on the north side of the church was smashed. While at the scene, officers were told that the baseball field had been ripped up. The baseball field was checked and significant damage was observed from a vehicle that had done several laps overnight around the ball diamond and the grass. Some of the ruts left by the vehicle tires were estimated to be 30 centimetres deep. There is no estimate on the repair for the church or for the baseball diamond at this time.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
