(City of Guelph, ON) On June 6th 2013, at approximately 8:50am, a County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting stationary radar on the Hanlon at Wellington Street in the City of Guelph.
At this time and location, Constable Richard DE Villiers observed a northbound 2006 Acura travelling well above the posted speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 128 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Jonathan ZAGAZETA age 21 of Richmond Hill is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on July 17, 2013 to answer to the charge.
