(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) All road users should be aware that on Sunday June 23, 2013, an organized bicycle tour will impact road usage in Perth County.
The ‘Tour de Waterloo’ mass start will take place at 8:30 a.m., from the David Johnston Resource & Technology Park in Waterloo. The tour encourages all cyclists to raise much needed funds for cancer programs at the Grand River Hospital Foundation and raise funds for KW Counselling Services Mental Health Care.
Cyclists are expected to arrive in Perth County around 9:30 a.m. from the Wellesley area as they travel down Deborah Gleister Line onto Line 61 into Poole. Participants will turn north onto Perth Road 121, ride through Millbank, Hesson, and cross Perth Line 86 where they will circumvent Conestoga Lake before heading back to Waterloo.
Motorists and road users are urged to use extra care as they will be sharing the roads with cyclists.
