(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On Sunday July 7, 2013, at approximately 9:27 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting stationary radar and monitoring northbound traffic on Highway 6 just north of Wellington Road in the City of Guelph.
At this time and location Constable Andrew Smith observed a northbound 2006 Toyota CTR travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 125 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Jeffrey Bell age 25 of Elmira has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on the 21St of August 2013 to answer to the charge.
