UPDATE: Search For Missing Youth

(ELORA, ON) -The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to search for 15-year-old Bryce HOGG who went missing on July 10, 2013 after inner tubing with friends in the Elora Gorge around 9:20 p.m.

Despite exhaustive efforts by the OPP, Center Wellington Fire Department, Cambridge Fire Department and the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) the victim has not been found.

The OPP will continue to search, however, unless new information comes forward, will be scaling back specialized resources which were deployed to assist with the incident over the last few days.

“This investigation remains active and our mission remains to reunite Bryce with his loved ones.” – Wellington County OPP Detachment Inspector Commander Scott Lawson.

The OPP and the GRCA are reminding people who may be near the Grand River, particularly below the Shand Dam, that water levels will be gradually increasing and not to go near the river’s edge.
