(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday May 25, 2010 around 4:30 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were called to Maddison St. in Monkton where a vehicle had struck a house.
Investigation revealed that a Jeep had veered off the road and struck a house. The driver was not injured as a result of the collision. The driver was arrested by police as he was showing signs of impairment. He was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he registered over .80 mgs. on the Intoxilyzer.
Ian Scott (46) of Orangeville was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content. He is to appear in criminal court on June 21, 2010 in Stratford to answer to these charges. He has also been served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
