(TRENT HILLS, ON) – Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has concluded an investigation into the theft of a pick-up truck that occurred in early July 2013 that was stolen from a business in the Roseneath area.
On July 11, 2013 the male suspect had attended to the local auto repair business and stole a 1989 blue GMC Sierra pick-up truck that he had previously owned in the past. The business owner contacted a relative of the current owner to confirm permission of removal and was told the truck had been stolen. The female relative contacted Northumberland OPP Street Response Team (SRT) who investigated and found the suspect in possession of the truck.
Kyle Daniel WEST, 28 from Hasting, Ontario has been charged with theft of motor vehicle under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and fail to comply with undertaking or recognizance – two counts under the Criminal Code. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday August 1, 2013 in Cobourg, Ontario at 1:30 pm.
