(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant detachment is currently investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision at the 403 Highway east bound, just east of Garden Avenue.
Today Tuesday August 6th, 2013 at approximately 6:30 am a Volkswagen was eastbound on the 403 Highway at Garden Avenue. The driver of the vehicle attempted to change lanes and for unknown reasons, lost control and entered the south ditch rolling several times, ejecting the driver.
As a result of the collision the 56 year old female driver from Oxford County, ON sustained fatal injuries. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the attending Coroner.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
One lane of the eastbound 403 Highway at Garden Avenue will be closed for approximately four hours to allow for investigation.
Identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
