Dirt Bike Collision – One Airlifted To Toronto

(PORT HOPE, ON) Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Port Hope Fire Department (PHFD) attended to a single vehicle collision on Sunday August 4, 2013 at about 2:30 pm on a trail just off Marydale Park Road in Port Hope, Ontario.

OPP officers arrived to assist EMS and PHFD with a single rider of a Kawasaki KX125 dirt bike that had gone off the trail and the rider had sustained serious injuries after being found by a friend when he became concerned for his whereabouts. The rider was wearing a helmet that showed serious damage.

A 32 year old Toronto male was transported to a Toronto hospital by air ambulance for serious non-life threatening injuries. The OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team has been called to assist with the collision investigation.
