(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Saturday, August 3, 2013 at approximately 2:56 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver northbound from Flesherton on Hwy. 10, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The suspect vehicle, a 2003 Subaru Outback, was stopped just north of Markdale. The lone driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Two open bottles of beer were observed inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests. The test results indicated he had more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system.
Walter KNAAP, 53, of Williamsford, Ontario was charged with impaired and over 80 mg.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 15, 2013.
