Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to an airplane crash on Knoll Road. A 58-year-old Dover Township man was attempting to land his Cessna 172 plane when he encountered problems with his braking system. The plane crashed into a cornfield next to the runaway causing the plane to flip. Neither the driver nor his female passenger were injured. Total damages were estimated at $30,000. There will be no charges laid.
