(PT. EDWARD, ON) Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were operating a Reduce Impaired Driving (RIDE) program on Venetian Boulevard in Pt Edward on August 10, 2013 just before 11:30.
OPP officers noticed that a Honda vehicle was about to travel from a private driveway toward the RIDE program, but then changed directions. OPP officers followed the vehicle and stopped it to begin a traffic investigation.
While speaking with the male driver, officers subsequently administered a road side breath test. As a result of that test, the driver was arrested and required to provide a further breath sample.
