Karl BENKIE – Drunk Driving

(Casselman, ON) ON August 10, 2013, OPP Constables were conducting a R.I.D.E spot check on the corner of Principale and St-Isidore Street in Casselman. A vehicle pulled up to the checkpoint and officers noticed that the driver had an odour of alcohol when speaking with him. The driver failed the Roadside Screening Device test. He was transported to the OPP detachment where he provided more breath samples into the Intoxylizer. The test results were exceeding the permitted legal limit.

Karl BENKIE, 52 years old of Casselman will have to appear in L’Orignal court on September 11, 2013 to answer to the following charges:

CC 253(1) (a) Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol

CC 253(1) (b) Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle
