(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) On Saturday August 10th, 2013, at approximately 4:40 am, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer Christina Barraco was conducting radar on Highway 6 and near Side Road 15 in Centre Wellington Township.
At this time and location a 2011 Nissan Juke was travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 140 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Sandra CARVALHO aged 45 of Hamilton has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on the 4th of September 2013 to answer to the charge.
