(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Thursday July 01, 2010 at 10:45 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were called to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Perth Road 135 and Line 36.
Investigation indicated that a westbound full sized pickup truck on Line 36 failed to yield to a northbound mini van on Perth Road 135. The pickup truck which was operated by a 17 year old Municipality of West Perth female was struck on the driver’s side by the mini van. The mini van was operated by a 45 year old Twp. of Perth East male.
The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and enter the farmer’s field north-west of the intersection. Occupants of the vehicles were treated for minor injuries.
The 17 year old pickup truck driver was charged with “Fail to yield to traffic on through highwayâ€.
