(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Wednesday July 14, 2010 shortly after 1 a.m., Perth County OPP officers were called to a rural service yard on Road 146 between Listowel and Palmerston. The repair shop owner reported the theft of two pickup trucks.
The officers were advised that both pickup trucks were last seen driving north bound on Road 146 in the direction of Palmerston and Wellington County.
Description of the trucks;
o A 1995 half ton Dodge Ram pickup truck grey in colour with Ontario licence plates FZ9127. The truck has a diesel fuel tank in the box and a tow bar attachment on the front bumper.
o A 2000 Toyota Tundra pickup truck green in colour with Ontario licence plates 3924JA.
Upon conducting patrols of the area, officers located a burning Toyota 4 door sedan approximately one Concession north of the repair shop on Road 146.
The Perth County OPP is continuing its investigation into these thefts and fire. They are however requesting anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity on or near Road 146 between the hours of 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
