(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. a group of motorcyclist enthusiasts was riding east bound in front of Anna Mae’s Restaurant on Perth Line 72 in Millbank. A dog ran across the road directly in the path of the first motorcycle. The motorcycle rider was unable to swerve around the animal and struck it. The motorcyclist lost control of the machine and was thrown to the ground when the machine went down.
The motorcyclist a 49 year old female from Lucknow was transported by Perth County Ambulance to Stratford General Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The dog and dog owner were located by police. The dog did not appear to have sustained any injuries.
The dog owner’s information was obtained as part of the police investigation.
