(Village of Elora, ON) – On Saturday August 24, 2013 at approximately 8:57pm officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2006 Hyundai SUV that was travelling northbound on County Road 7 just entering the Village of Elora. Upon speaking with the driver it was obvious that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Jake Quarrie aged 22 of Pilkington Township has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Drive with Open Container of Liquor in Vehicle contrary to the Liquor License Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on September 27, 2013 to answer to the charges.
