(Hawkesbury, ON) RIDE enforcement initiatives are continuously being conducted in the Town of Hawkesbury and throughout Prescott County.
On the 24th of August 2013 at approximately 2:50 am, Constables Doucet, Léger and Hahn of the Hawkesbury OPP, went sent to the scene of an impaired driver on Highway 417 at the St-Eugène exit in East Hawkesbury. The driver was out of gas and had called a towing. The tow truck driver noticed that the driver was intoxicated where he took away his keys and called police.
The driver was arrested when the officers arrived. A search of the vehicle revealed an available bottle of liquor.
Michael LANG (40 yrs) of St-Lazare, Qc, was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:
– Section 253(1)(a) Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
– Section 253(1)(b) Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle.
