(Morris Turnberry, ON) On July 28, 2010 a Huron OPP officer received a complaint from a member of the public regarding a vehicle which travels at a very high rate of speed on Walton Road every morning at approximately 5:30 am. As a result of the complaint, an officer set up to do stationary patrol on Walton Road at 5:00 am today.
At 5:20 am the officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Walton Road at a high rate of speed. The observations of the officer were then confirmed with radar. The vehicle was seen to be moving at more than 50 kilometers above the posted speed limit of 80 kph.
The driver was stopped and was identified as a 20 year old North Huron female. Jennifer WILLIAMSON was subsequently charged with Racing. Her vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and her drivers’ licence was suspended for 7 days. She will answer to her charge in Goderich Provincial Court on September 7, 2010
