(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a local man with several criminal offences. The charges stem from a theft incident at a local restaurant and the subsequent investigation. As a result of the suspect’s image captured by a surveillance camera being released to the media the accused turned himself in to police, was arrested and charged on September 2, 2013.
Charged with Theft Under, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Trafficking a Controlled Substance is Jesse MONETTE age 25 of Matachewan, Ontario. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on October 10, 2013.
(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a theft of money from a customer at a local restaurant. The theft occurred when the suspect a customer stole a case for glasses containing money which had been left behind on the counter by the victim also a customer. The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. on August 2, 2013.
The suspect is described as a male in his twenties, approximately six feet tall, thin build, clean shaven wearing a beige colored camouflage ball hat, a red hoodie or coat, dark blue shirt, blue jeans and black running shoes.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect whose image was captured by a surveillance camera at the restaurant. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Kirkland Lake OPP at 1-800-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 567-5400.
