(GODERICH, ON) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 59 year old male with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. At approximately 5:30 p.m. on September 3, 2013 a Huron OPP officer spotted a grey Dodge pickup travelling traveling westbound on Huron Road near Suncoast Drive. The driver of the pickup truck struck the curb on two occasions and was promptly stopped for a sobriety check.
Upon speaking with the driver it was noted he had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was administered which resulted in a fail. He was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath; both were over the legal limit.
Pierre PAQUETTE, 59, from Goderich has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 7, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
