(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) Members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit along with assistance of members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a man with several drug offences. The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the Kirkland Lake area. It culminated with a vehicle stop on Government Road East in Kirkland Lake.
Seized as a result of the vehicle search were methamphetamine pills, marihuana, and drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $67,260. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. on September 5, 2013.
Charged is Pierre MORIN age 27 of La Sarre, Quebec with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on November 17, 2013.
