(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) devoted time this week, to patrol in and around schools, as the 2013-2014 school year began.
In Essex County, officers dedicated 40 patrol hours to local schools ensuring the safety of our area children.
In total, 35 various charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act, as well as 10 warnings, including parking violation warnings.
The motoring public is reminded to continue to be vigilant throughout the school year to keep all children out of harm’s way as they travel to and from their intended destination.
