(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Mississaga Street bank in Orillia. Members of the Orillia OPP, Orillia OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene.
On September 5th 2013 at approximately 1:40 p.m., a male suspect entered a bank on Mississaga Street in Orillia and demanded cash from a teller. The male then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Orillia OPP Crime Unit with the assistance of the Barrie Police Service, have made an arrest in this case. A male party was arrested in the City of Barrie.
A 48 year old Barrie man has been arrested and charged with Robbery. The male will be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
