(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of a plane crash at around 4:30 pm on September 10, 2013. Police attended the scene at the Beauty Bay area of Black Sturgeon Lake. Witnesses advised police that the Osprey float plane was conducting “touch and goes†or take offs and landings. At one point while taking off the plane lost control and made contact with the water. The pilot suffered minor injuries and the plane sustained some damage.
The investigation is continuing.
