(ORILLIA, ON) The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged three local youths in relation to a string of shoplifting incidents in Orillia.
On September 9th at approximately 5:15 p.m., Orillia OPP responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Metro Grocery Store on Front Street North in Orillia. When officers arrived at scene they spoke with store security that had one female in custody and they were advised that the other two suspects had run off. One female was arrested at scene and the other female and male turned themselves in at Orillia detachment a short time later.
Investigation led to the parties being charged with several other theft incidents at businesses in the Orillia area.
The three youths were released on a Promise to Appear and will appear in court on a future date.
