(HALIBURTON, ON) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment are investigating several Break & Enters at the Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve located at 1095 Redkenn Road, Haliburton Ontario in the Municipality of Dysart et al. The incidents occurred on August 27 2013 and involved break-ins to numerous seasonal trailers that were situated at Macdonald Lake. Items stolen include; generators, power and hand tools as well as fishing equipment. As a result of the investigation and after executing a search warrant on a residence, Kyle MANN, 41 years of age from Carnarvon Ontario has been charged with the following criminal offences:
Break, Enter a Dwelling with the Intent to Commit and Indictable Offence – 6 counts
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – 6 counts
Possession of Break In Instruments – 1 count
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon – 1 count
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on November 06 2013 to answer to the charges.
The OPP is asking area residents that if you are a victim of a break & enter and you have outstanding property to contact police if you have not already done so.
