(Embrun, ON) On September 13, 2013 OPP Constable Nick Murray was on patrol on St-Guillaume Road in Embrun. The officer noticed a vehicle was speeding and this was confirmed on the radar. The vehicle that was travelling at 121 km/h in 80 km/h zone was stopped by officer. When speaking with driver an odour of alcohol was detected. The driver provided a breath sample into the Roadside Screening Device. He registered an “F†for a fail. He was transported to the OPP office. At that location he supplied two breath tests on the Intoxilyzer. The results exceeded the legal limit.
Matthew D. HUNTER, 30 years old male of Ottawa will have to appear in L’Orignal court on October 16, 2013 to answer to the following charges:
CC 253(1) (a) Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
CC 253(1) (b) Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle
He was also issued a provincial offence notice for speeding
