(WALKERTON, ON) On September 17, 2013 at 1:52 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of males going through vehicles in the alley behind Durham Street East in Walkerton. Officers arrived and located 3 men wearing hooded sweatshirts. One of the men was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and placed under arrest. He ran from police and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. 25 year old Joey POLLARD of Brockton has been charged with Possess a controlled substance, Escape lawful custody, Resist peace officer and 2 counts of Breaching probation. He has been held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for September 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm. There were no injuries reported.
