The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a London man following a shoplifting complaint in Chatham.
On September 17, 2013, police responded to a business on Queen Street in regards to a theft complaint.
The male suspect exited the store through a back door making no attempts to pay for the merchandise in his basket. The man stole approximately $340 worth of items.
Through investigation, the man was identified and arrested on Grand Avenue East in Chatham early this morning.
Arash Alishahi, 26 years, of Tumbleweed Crescent in London has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been released pending a future court date.
