(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Sunday September 22, 2013 the Bay of Quinte Region will be holding a cycling event that will see cyclists riding routes through the City of Quinte West, City of Belleville as well as Prince Edward County.
The cyclists will be leaving Centennial Park in Trenton at 9:00am and heading through Trenton to the rural routes. The road tours are expected to conclude at 2:00pm. During these times motorist can expect delays on the following roads in the Quinte Region:
Highway 2 between Stoney Point Rd, Quinte West and the Bay Bridge in Belleville.
County Rd 3, Prince Edward County
County Rd 64, Quinte West
Loyalist Parkway, Quinte West and Prince Edward County
Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd, Quinte West and Belleville
Foxboro-Stirling Rd, Quinte West
River Valley Rd, Quinte West
Frankford-Stirling Rd, Quinte West
Glen Miller Rd, Quinte West
Trenton-Frankford Rd, Quinte West
County Rd 5, Quinte West
County Rd 40, Quinte West
The cyclists will be following all the normal rules of the road but Police will be assisting the racers through controlled intersections in the city. Police are asking motorists to either refrain from travelling along these routes or have patience while the cyclists pass through the various parts of the Quinte West Region.
