(Hawkesbury, ON) On the 17th of September 2013, around 3:30 pm, a woman attended a Higginson street residence in the town of Hawkesbury where she was asked to leave. The woman then grabbed money that was in the residence before heading out. The victim tried to stop the thief from taking the money and was consequently bit by the woman who then successfully ran away.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Lisa BROWN (41 yrs) of Hawkesbury. While she was arrested she was found in possession illicit drugs.
She was charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– section 344(b) Robbery with Violence
– section 733.1(1) Breach of Probation Order (2 counts)
She was also charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act section 4 (1) Possession Schedule I – Other Drugs
She was not released from custody and was to appear at the L’Orignal Court today at 13:00.
