Suspicious Package Investigated

On September 26, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., a north end business notified Guelph Police of a suspicious package they had received. Police confirmed that there were concerning circumstances surrounding the package. To ensure everyone’s safety a large area was blocked off and employees of the business were evacuated. The Waterloo Regional Police Service Bomb Squad was called in to assist.
Investigation revealed that the package did not contain any explosives. The person responsible for bringing this package to the area was identified and spoken to. Police determined that all was in order.
