The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft.
On September 7, 2013, police responded to a theft complaint on Sandy’s Street in Chatham where a man was observed stealing a plastic bag from a donation area. Through investigation, police identified the man who fled the area on a bicycle and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Around 11:30 a.m. yesterday morning, officers located the man on Lacroix Street and he was arrested. The 24-year-old man has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was transported to court pending a bail hearing.
