The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Shortly after 6:00 a.m. this morning, police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Cross Street.
Officers located the man in the backyard of a residence. Through investigation, officers learned that the man was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.
The 19-year-old Chatham man was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to encourage all citizens to call police immediately should they see or hear anyone or anything suspicious. Results do happen when police are notified of a complaint in a quick and timely manner.
